Setting Out Engineer
Permanent - Full-time
Production is the backbone of our build process. We build over 10,000 homes a year. Consistency in quality of build, safety standards and communication with our customers are all key components to a successful production team. We look for people who have the skills to manage projects effectively, build strong relationships with contractors and all trades on site
The job of a Setting Out Engineer involves taking setting out information provided by the engineering department attends site and generates a point on the site that will be the corners of the house. You will work closely with the site contractors and cross check setting out stations and datum levels.
The successful candidate must possess good communication skills and be able to work on their own setting out new dwellings and boundaries as required by the Production team.
What you will do:
Receive setting out information from the engineering department.
Setting up setting out stations on site.
Transferring levels and setting up site datums.
Accurately set out key boundaries
Carry out built surveys as may be required by the business
Assist the Production team in any other setting out/surveying duties as may be required
Review and report any queries from land registry Accurately set out key boundaries
What you will have:
Prior experience of a setting out/surveying role
Ability to work independently, prioritise work and take initiative
CSCS Card Holder
First Aid trained
Full UK driver’s License
