The Project Management Coordinator has the responsibility of working with the PMIP Project Managers to ensure increased professionalism of project management within Taylor Wimpey. This role will operate in each of our regional business units, coordinating reporting, training, skills improvement and implementation improvements across the country. This role reports into the Group Operations Director.

What you will do:

  • Promote a professional project management approach across TW
  • Organise and lead internal shared learning events in liaison with relevant central functions
  • Analysis, review and reporting of the operation of the PMIP process, opportunities for improvement and evolution to Group Operations Director
  • Support continuous improvement of TW approach to projects, PMIP Process and Toolkit – including facilitating scope extension of solution/principles where there is benefit to TW
  • Consolidate, prioritise and communicate lessons learned across the PM community and relevant central functions
  • Liaise with and advise on other business initiatives which may overlap with the scope of PMIP, or the capability of the project managers.

What you will have:

  • Strong knowledge of, and genuine interest in, Project Management and the application of Best Practice, having already achieved or with the desire to achieve APM PMQ or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of TW practices and processes, with the ability to challenge and question the norm
  • Strong IT skills (in particular MS Excel) and analytical skills with a desire to learn and improve skills and competence
  • Previous experience in supporting delivery of change initiatives, particularly experience in change control/configuration management
  • Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with different areas of the business and senior management, with a desire to develop business breadth.
