The Business Systems Trainer is responsible for providing end users with training, coaching and materials to ensure they develop a clear understanding of how to operate business systems / applications used, and the wider business context and importance to downstream processes, and ultimately to drive full adoption, process compliance and data quality, for all business

Reporting directly into the Support and Business Systems Manager, the Business Systems Trainer will identify the training needs of the end user customers, design and develop comprehensive training courses and deliver classroom training at our centrally located training facility and within individual regional offices nationwide.

What you will do:

  • Identify the training needs of the end user customers in conjunction with business stakeholders and IT team
  • Design and develop comprehensive training courses, eLearning, video clips, webinars, tests of understanding and supporting materials and maintain and improve these based on user feedback
  • Deliver classroom training courses both within the central facility (Birmingham) and within individual business units nationwide including maintaining associated registers of user training activity.
  • Monitor the success of, improve, redesign and adjust the delivery of, training courses to ensure full adoption of business systems.

What you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to: command the confidence and attention of an audience; generate interest and excitement; and convey complex / technical subjects, to peers and senior managers, adopting style to audience
  • Previous experience as a trainer in terms of: toolsets and methodologies used to develop training; preparing a whole range of training types (classroom, eLearning, video); and adopting new training methods for better effect
  • A high aptitude for understanding and learning new applications and with the ability and confidence to sensibly challenge the status quo and adapt to meet new challenges
  • Advanced knowledge of, or ability to learn very quickly, the training package currently used (Captivate) and Microsoft tools (including Microsoft PowerPoint and Word)
