In the Taylor Wimpey South Thames Regional Management Team, the role is pivotal for overseeing JV housing schemes and major projects, ensuring comprehensive management across various domains including health and safety, programme delivery, and financial strategy. 

The role demands active coordination with JV partners, facilitated through regular board and progress meetings. For complex and large sites, the role involves leading the BUMT and regional project teams, as well as managing external communications with local authorities and residents. Collaboration with the Managing Director and Finance Director is essential for preparing JV financial forecasts, such as the P1 and P3 packs, and presenting them to the Divisional Chair and Finance Director. 

The role’s project portfolio includes Whitehill & Bordon, Cranleigh, Horley, Crawley, Wisley, and Wandsworth, highlighting the potential for future opportunities. Additionally, there is a co-managerial responsibility for all JV employees, underscoring the leadership aspect of the role.

What you will do:

  • A key role within the Taylor Wimpey South Thames Regional Management Team and on Joint Venture Boards, responsible for all aspects of the JV housing schemes, complex and large projects in South Thames.
  • Setting and executing business plan that cover but not limited to – health and safety, program delivery, commercial, customer service, people and financial strategy
  • Active management of our JV partners – by holding regular board meetings and also weekly progress meetings where required
  • For Complex Projects and Large Sites co-ordinating and leading both the BUMT and regional project team
  • Lead external communication and attend meetings with local authority and local residents
  • Work alongside the Managing Director and Finance Director to prepare the JV financial forecasts, namely the P1 and P3 packs, including presentation to the Divisional Chair and Divisional Finance Director. Report updates in build sales and monthly board meetings
  • Project breakdown - Whitehill & Bordon (JV), Cranleigh (JV), Horley (JV), Crawley (JV), Wisley (large project), Wandsworth (complex project), Plus future opportunities
  • Co-Managerial responsibility for all JV employees

What you will have:

  • Proven experience in leading a high performing team.
  • Proven experience in working with external consultants and main contractors.
  • Demonstratable evidence of understanding project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in collaborative working both internally and externally
  • Ability to input into and influence, the strategic plan for the Joint ventures.
  • Entrepreneurial skills, breadth of view beyond traditional approaches.
  • Strong networker, totally committed to community involvement and developing relationships.
  • High standard of financial literacy & analytical skills.
  • Considerable drive and energy.
  • High level of service delivery in a customer centric environment
  • Find solutions and don't accept second best.
