Design & Planning Executive

Our technical and engineering teams are responsible for establishing all the infrastructure that connects a new development and putting in place all important things that enable a community to thrive. They are also the people responsible for the layout of our sites, ensuring we are creating places that work for every aspect of our customers lives. Our Design and Planning Executives are responsible for the preparation and submission of planning applications, preparation of viabilities and secure planning and building regulations approval at the pre-start and concept stage of development. 

What you will do: 

  • Responsible for all planning and development functions on a determined number of sites
  • Procure landscaping scheme, ecological and archaeological assessments, noise reports and air quality to support applications 
  • Overview development proposals and appraise site information to formulate technical reports 
  • Instruct and coordinate necessary site investigations 
  • Manage external consultants and liaise on layout, landscaping and road and ensure planning approval given within timescales 
  • Ensure the preparation of all drawings, details and specifications necessary for start on site, including site and landscaping layouts plus external works 


What you will have: 

  • A good level of computer literacy 
  • Good understanding of the planning process 
  • Wide experience of planning and development within the house building industry 
  • Preferably membership of professional body, but not essential 
  • Business related qualification
