A unique opportunity to join our head office IT function. You will coordinate and execute the support and refresh of our ERP system – COINS in non-live environments and contribute to both the review of COINS release items and the testing of COINS, and COINS-Dynamics integration.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of changes to our software environments (particularly non-live and test environments), with a particular focus on COINS and the end-to-end integrated solution set around COINS, with both support and project teams. 
  • Work to resolve conflicts between competing demands of parties needing access to test environments.
  • Responsible for the planning and refresh of COINS test environments. This includes frequency, timing and execution, liaison with those responsible for the refresh of Dynamics and WebApps test environments and the communication of test environment availability.
  • Coordinate and directly provide ongoing support for test environments.
  • Seek to improve and potentially automate [components of] the processes for test environment refresh with the associated technical resources.
  • Responsible for reviewing in conjunction with the Subject Matter Expert(s), new functionality (PDRs) in software releases for existing software solutions (particularly COINS) and ultimately testing and implementing selected items.
  • Responsible for developing, documenting and administering testing plans and scripts for upgrades and releases for existing software either as a standalone exercise (e.g. individual COINS-Dynamics integration components) or as part of a project (e.g. COINS software upgrades) and to participate in the testing of new software where appropriate.
  • Log identified bugs with associated suppliers or technical teams, oversee delivery of fixes, and deploy fixes to non-live (particularly test) environments for COINS and COINS integration components.
  • Seek to automate components of testing, in conjunction with others, and where implemented maintain and update existing automated test scripts.

What you will have:

  • Knowledge and ability to refresh COINS test environments (can be learned).
  • Ability to create and execute test scripts against COINS, and COINS – Dynamics integration components, and broad experience of application testing processes
  • High aptitude for understanding and learning including system functionality and configuration as well as general technology and software packages
  • Extensive experience within IT department in an analyst or related role
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of the housebuilding industry
  • Knowledge, understanding of any of the following applications: COINS, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage X 3
