We are looking for quality skilled trades people that really take pride in the work they do, manage jobs effectively and build strong relationships with employees on site and customers.

Career prospects in this exciting part of the business are excellent and many of our trade workers have gone on to become Site Managers and in some cases Directors.

The scaffold manger will be responsible for all aspects & smooth running of the scaffold department. This will include making sure that sites have the correct operatives & materials to maintain the site build programme. Mentor & work with scaffolders to mitigate H&S issues. They will also be responsible for all vehicles/logistics required to move materials from yard/sites to where they are required. They will need to assist the Direct Trade manager with HR issues (if required). Work alongside Site Managers & Production Managers where applicable.

What you will do:

  • Keeping to programme on all sites.
  • Ensure all sites have sufficient scaffold/proprietary decking components to support build programme.
  • Monitoring health and safety.
  • Monitoring quality of work (supplementary scaffold inspections).
  • Attend weekly programme meetings with the site management team.
  • Liaise with the Commercial team to establish targets for productive work.
  • Management and approval of timesheets/bonus and target sheets/holidays.
  • Planning of plot-by-plot requirements, retaining/screen walls, side loading bays, under-build etc.
  • Liaise with TW HSE team to identify safe systems of work on bespoke works.
  • Working as a key part of the Production team. 
  • Ensure that all relevant health, safety, environment, and sustainable development requirements are adhered to.

What you need:

  • Previous industry experience is preferred.
  • CISRS Advanced scaffold card (CISRS Part 2 would be considered depending on level of experience). 
  • Experience in maintaining training and health and safety records.
  • good communication skills
  • CSCS/CISRS supervision/manager card (preferable but not essential).
  • Preferred clean full UK driving licence
