We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, polite and enthusiastic secretary with great interpersonal skills and exceptional administrative and organisations skills to join our Commercial Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible to manage the smooth running of the Department, ensuring the effective and accurate processing of the Commercial Director’s correspondence, documents and systems in line with their business needs, together with providing secretarial support to the Commercial Manager, Estimators, Quantity Surveyors and Buyers.

The successful candidate will be responsible to manage the smooth running of the Department, ensuring the effective and accurate processing of the Commercial Director’s correspondence, documents and systems in line with their business needs, together with providing secretarial support to the Commercial Manager, Estimators, Quantity Surveyors and Buyers

What you will do:

  • General secretarial duties, including typing, photocopying, compiling reports and handling telephone enquiries
  • Diary management for the Commercial Director
  • Registration of new Framework Agreements with Contractors and maintenance of Contractors Health & Safety competency registrations and renewals
  • Arranging internal / external meetings and corporate events
  • Organising training and maintaining records for office-based staff
  • Ordering of site welfare/consumables for active sites including boot orders requested from Production team

What you will have

  • Competent PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Speedwriting skills would be an advantage
  • First class communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills
  • Be approachable and willing to support colleagues at all times
