Our Logistics and Supply Chain division is a crucial part of our business. They ensure our regional business are equipped to build homes for our customers. Supplying critical materials for every build they are responsible for a complex, national distribution network and also manage our impressive warehouse facility in Peterborough.

We are looking for an Inventory Controller to assist the Stock manager in managing the inventory, ensuring accuracy of locations and counts and that virtual and physical stock systems match.

What you will do:

  • Analysing the forecast and identifying risks and opportunities within the business, make challenges and propose changes; able to efficiently escalate issues
  • Train new starters in process (upstream and downstream), share best practice and collaborate with other departments as necessary
  • Control PIC process, analyse results and make recommendations for improvement
  • Investigate stock discrepancies
  • Investigate alleged pick errors identified from customer feedback
  • Carry out location checks to ensure virtual and physical stock match
  • Be the expert in stock management within the Sage X3 ERP systems

 

What you will have:

  • Experience in inventory control
  • Previous experience in the housebuilding industry is preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Sage X3/COINs

To be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers licence.

The type of checks made will depend on the role in question but may include any or all the following

  • Criminal records (DBS);
  • Credit reference
  • DVLA

The purpose of such checks will be to assess your suitability for the role.  If it subsequently transpires that you have given incorrect, false or misleading information, your application will not be taken further.
