As part of the IT Business Partnering function, graduates will gain exposure to both operational and project IT experiences and will have an unmatched opportunity to collaborate with all IT functions, our suppliers and our business colleagues to gain a strong foundation of IT and business knowledge.  

The Graduate Scheme

Our programme is a 2-year scheme, where individuals will gain an in-depth knowledge into IT. The Graduate IT Business Partner will partner with Business Units, Functions, Logistics, TWL and Head Office, in the development of strategic and tactical business plans.

This role will be trained to act as a trusted technology advisor to the business, managing demand and leveraging technology to meet business goals and objectives. The programme will include a 2-year development course to focus on your professional skills which are delivered at our specialist Training Hub in Solihull. You will have the opportunity to attend regular business masterclasses on a wide range of topics essential to your professional growth, including leadership, project management, technical skills, and industry-specific knowledge. 

You will also compete in the King’s Trust Million Makers project, a nine-month challenge that aims to develop entrepreneurial skills and raise money for The King’s Trust, while being exposed to senior leaders and mentors in the business. 

During the programme, you will have the opportunity to rotate across IT and the Business which are designed to enhance your understanding of our operations.

During your training, you'll gain hands-on experience in key areas such as: 

  • Supporting the Strategic IT Planning
  • Supporting Demand Management
  • IT Change Management
  • Information Systems Coordination
  • Business Process Improvement
  • Business & third-party Stakeholder Relationship Management

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

  • 2:1 degree or above (Required)
  • Full driving license and access to a car or ability to get to site locations (Required) 
  • Willingness to travel around the UK and are happy to stay away from home for short periods of time.
  • Will be required to be onsite for a minimum of 3 days a week at our Solihull Office
  • Ability to find innovative and creative solutions to solve problems 
  • Great communication and stakeholder management
  • Willingness to challenge the norm
