Job Summary
The Planning Administrator supports the planning and logistics function by ensuring accurate data entry, maintaining schedules, and providing administrative support to enable efficient production and delivery operations. This role is critical in maintaining smooth communication between planning, production, procurement, and logistics teams, ensuring that customer requirements are met on time and cost-effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
- Input and maintain accurate data in ERP systems and planning tools.
- Update production and delivery schedules as directed by the Planning Supervisor.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Monitor changes in site schedules and update records accordingly.
- Liaise with internal teams (production, procurement, logistics) to resolve scheduling issues.
- Act as a point of contact for queries related to planning documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery notes, and planning reports.
- Prepare and distribute planning updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Support with ad-hoc tasks such as filing, reporting, and document control.
- Assist in managing date change requests (DCRs) and capacity planning updates.
- Support with any ad-hoc administration tasks or duties deemed necessary by the business.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
- Good Numeracy accuracy with strong attention to detail for precise data entry
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office & other systems ie. SAGE
- Confidence in building strong working relationships both internally and with key stakeholders whilst working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in production and capacity planning.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with excellent organisational skills.
