Job Summary
The Assistant to the Treasury Operations Manager plays a key supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the treasury function. This position assists in managing daily cash operations, banking relationships, and controls, while contributing to the accuracy and timeliness of treasury reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, proficient excel skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support daily cash management activities, including monitoring bank balances, processing payments, and reconciling transactions.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of short-term cash flow forecasts.
- Regular attendance of fraud webinars.
- Maintain accurate records of banking mandates, and treasury documentation.
- Help manage the administration of bank accounts, including openings, closures, and updates to signatories.
- Support the Treasury Operations Manager in ensuring compliance with internal controls and treasury policies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end treasury reporting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of treasury processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Provide administrative support for treasury-related projects and initiatives.
- Act as a point of contact for ad hoc treasury queries.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
- Previous industry experience preferred but not required.
- Possession of GCSEs (including math's) or equivalent Finance-related qualification.
- Proficient in Excel with attention to detail and accuracy.
