Job Summary

Responsible for developing and progressing various cladding remediation projects through all technical aspects of the design, planning and construction stages. Responsible and accountable for the projects’ programme delivery and reporting in line with internal cladding remediation governance process and external government reporting targets.  

Primary responsibilities:

Leadership & Business Management

  • Accountable for technical budget control and financial delivery of cladding remediation projects.
  • Lead proactive communication with internal teams, freeholders and management companies to support safe, fair and proportionate remediation solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and scopes of work with consultants, contractors, freeholders and management companies.
  • Monitor political, regulatory, environmental and industry developments, assessing impact on project delivery and priorities.
  • Coordinate media-related activity through corporate communications teams.
  • Maintain a general awareness of insurance matters relating to remediation schemes.
  • Champion and role model Taylor Wimpey Cultural Principles.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across Group and Business Unit teams.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risks to achieve programme objectives.
  • Promote effective cross-functional collaboration and communication.
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities for consultants and contractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the Senior Technical Project Manager, Director of Cladding Remediation or Cladding Technical Director.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

  • ​​A thorough knowledge of the full development/ technical process. ​Previous experience as either a Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager within a development organisation preferred​​ 
  • ​​​Industry related qualification​​ 
  • Attained or working towards a professional accreditation with RICS, CIOB, ICE or RIBA 
  • ​​Ability to work under own initiative​ 
  • ​​​Excellent communication skills and team work 
  • ​​Ability to manage external consultant and team and ensure all deadlines are met​
